Why Watts Won't Tell You This

Adjust for Real-World Factors

Add roughly 10-20% more lumens for rooms with dark paint, low ceilings, or few windows, and don't be afraid to go higher on the ambient layer if it's on a dimmer - it's easier to dim down an overlit room than to add more light to an underlit one later.
